About the science

What the evidence supports — and what it does not.

Generic brain-training games show limited gains that rarely transfer to real life. That is why Mnemo teaches techniques and applies them to your own material — that is where the evidence is strong.

What we claim

  • Retrieval practice (testing yourself) makes you remember more than rereading the same content.
  • Spreading reviews across days makes learning last longer than cramming.
  • Imagery and association techniques (method of loci, keyword method) increase recall of the trained material.
  • Sleep and aerobic exercise support memory consolidation.

What we do not claim

  • We do not promise higher IQ or intelligence.
  • We do not prevent, treat or delay Alzheimer's, dementia or any disease.
  • We do not diagnose: the diagnostic alert is educational and suggests seeing a professional.
  • Gains from isolated exercises tend to stay limited to the exercise itself.
